One year. 201 published posts. 434 comments. 3,55,265 page views.
This day last year I launched BJ's nocabbages, i.e. this blog. The idea behind the blog was to make it a platform for learning, with primary focus on economics and politics. I think I have succeeded to an extent; while your reactions to the posts have mostly been positive, it is true that your critical observations have helped me write better.
As you know, there are two major series on this blog:
(a) Reads: The Best of Politics, Economics, & Ideas - where I share some of the best articles on the Web on a wide range of subjects;
(b) The Explainer. This is the most popular and widely read feature on this blog. In this space, I write Q&A on important economic and political issues.
In the next few days, I intend to restart 10 Things You Should Know series (I have published about six installments), with a tweak in the title to 5 Things You Should Know.
I thank you, Dear Reader, for visiting BJ's nocabbages. The number of page views have surpassed my expectations. In fact, there is no publicity tool for this blog. Not bad for a part-time blogger.
Is there anything that you would want me to write on? Your comments are most welcome.

Hi Bharat sir,
One thing I just want to request you is "Keep Blogging atleast a post a day".
Trust me, everyday I open your blog and feel bad if there is no post from you.
I feel happy and excited when there is a post from you. I swear, I read every article you have posted.
Some more things I want from your blog are
1. Motivating and inspiring stories of some great business-magnets, industrialists, politicians, players, your past IIM students etc.. which helps students like me to keep motivated. A word from you works like an energy drink for us.
2. Most of the students who visit this blog aspires to be a Management Graduate. Can you please publish Personality Development lesson atleast a week. PD post helps to groom the students.
3. Some of your personal experiences (what I mean is "Lessons Learnt from LIFE").
Thank you
DP
sir i am an avid reader of the blogs u recommend and post . Whenever a sunday gets boring .. tada ..i open the blog and read my way to happiness. From the blogs that you recommend and what you write i gather that you are not just intelligent but also a socially active or someone who at least keeps his eye open to the state of affairs around him.. however y is that your blogs are mum on the quota in education system prevailing in India . do u honestly believe a thing as ridiculous as reservations be present in admitting students to the prestigious IIT's and IIM's ????? .
Mr Jain,
First of all congratulations for achieving this feat. So far it's you who has been providing us with wonderful reads on a regular basis. But now allow me to to suggest some reads for you (no disrespect meant).
